Six Industries, One Team

Our arborists bring hands-on experience across schools, childcare, aged care, strata, developers, construction and councils. Each segment gets the same team, same standards, and the same single point of contact.

01. Property & Facilities Managers

Single point of contact across multiple sites and properties instead of chasing different contractors per site. Purchase-order and work-order friendly — not a "pay on the day" residential job. Scheduled, proactive maintenance programs, not just reactive callouts.

02. Schools

Work scheduled around school hours, pupil-free days and holidays — minimal disruption to the school day. Playground and boundary tree safety (deadwood and limb risk over areas kids use). Arborist reports for new builds, shade-sail installs, or extensions affecting existing trees. WWCC clearances held for on-campus visits.

03. Childcare & Aged Care Operators

Safety-first: fall-hazard limb and deadwood removal, canopy management around outdoor play or garden areas used by children or elderly residents. Minimal-disruption scheduling around nap times, activity schedules, and visiting hours. Compliance support for new centre developments and canopy tree retention rules.

04. Strata / Body Corporate

Common-property tree disputes and boundary tree issues handled with clear documentation. Reports and quotes written so a committee can approve them — not just a homeowner — with a clean process for AGM sign-off or circular resolution.

05. Developers & Construction Contractors

Pre-purchase and due-diligence arborist reports before a site is committed. Canopy tree retention and replacement-planting compliance for subdivisions and multi-dwelling developments (Clause 52.37 / VC289). Staged tree clearance that fits your construction program — residential, commercial, civil, infrastructure, and mining construction sites.

06. Councils

Quote-based, compliance-literate contractor for tree works on public land or council-referred private works. In-house AQF Level 5 arborist reports — no outsourcing, no extra wait — and can be paired with a Bushfire Management Overlay assessment where relevant. We work directly with councils on a quote basis and are actively pursuing panel accreditation.

What We Do for
Commercial & Council Clients

All nine of our residential services scaled for commercial contexts — multi-site programs, construction-site clearance, playground and common-area safety, compliance reporting.

Multi-Site Tree Pruning Programs

Scheduled pruning across a portfolio of properties, pruned to AS 4373-2007. One schedule, one invoice per cycle, one point of contact.

Construction-Site Clearance & Staged Removal

Tree removal staged to fit your construction program — site set-up, service trenches, foundation prep — working alongside the head contractor.

Playground & Common-Area Safety Works

Deadwood, hazardous limbs, canopy management over play spaces, boundary paths, and shared common property. Documented risk assessment supplied.

In-House Arborist Reports

Council permits, development applications, VPO / SLO applications, tree health assessments, insurance claims. Written to AS 4970-2009 and AS 4373-2007.

Emergency & Storm-Response Works

Priority response for facilities managers, schools, aged care, and councils after storms, fallen trees, or hazardous limbs threatening buildings, access ways, or public spaces.

Stump Grinding at Scale

Multi-stump grinding for landscape resets, playground redevelopments, or subdivision preparation. Below-grade grind and site cleared.

Hedging & Grounds Maintenance

Ongoing hedge shaping and grounds tidy programs for aged care facilities, corporate campuses, school perimeters, and body-corporate common gardens.

Landscape Restoration & Design

Post-construction landscape restoration, planting plans for new developments, replacement-planting programs to meet canopy compliance targets.

Surface Cleaning & Garden Clean-Up

Driveway, path, and hard-surface cleaning for commercial premises. One-off yard clean-ups for tenancy exits, storm follow-up, or facility handovers.

Reports Written by Arborists,
Not Templated by Consultants

Compliance is a genuine differentiator for us. Our AQF Level 5 arborists prepare reports in-house — no third-party consultant hand-off, no extra wait, no re-explaining the site.

In-house AQF Level 5 arborist reports. No outsourcing to a separate consultant, no extra billing cycle, no scheduling gap between site visit and report delivery.

Written to Australian Standards. AS 4970-2009 for tree risk assessment and protection of trees on development sites. AS 4373-2007 for pruning of amenity trees. Cited correctly, applied correctly — not conflated.

Canopy tree compliance for new developments. We help developers and councils meet canopy tree planting and retention requirements under Clause 52.37 (Amendment VC289, effective 15 September 2025). Requirements vary council to council — we work to yours.

Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO) assessments can be prepared together with the arborist report where a site sits in a bushfire overlay — common in the hills and growth-corridor suburbs (Yarra Ranges, Nillumbik, Cardinia, Mornington Peninsula). One team, one report package.

How It Works for Commercial Clients

Four steps, no pricing shown on the site — every scope is quoted after we see it.

1. Enquiry

You send through the site, phone, or email. Tell us the site(s), the scope, and any procurement or purchase-order requirements. We reply the same business day.

2. Site Assessment & Quote

An AQF Level 5 arborist attends site (or reviews the drawings if it’s a development-stage enquiry). We issue a written quote scoped to your operating hours, site access rules, and reporting needs.

3. Scheduled Works

Works scheduled around your operating hours, school term dates, aged care visiting hours, or construction program. Traffic management, WHS documentation, and public liability certificates supplied on request.

4. Sign-Off & Report

Site left clean. Post-job report and photos provided where the scope requires it (development, council, insurance, or committee-approval work). Invoiced on account, payment by bank transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers commercial and council clients ask most often. Anything not covered here — call the TLC Team on 1300 263 771.

Do you work with schools and childcare centres?

Yes. TLC schedules school and childcare works around school hours, pupil-free days, holiday periods, and nap/activity schedules to minimise disruption. Our arborists hold Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearances for on-campus visits and assessments.

Can you provide arborist reports for a development application or council permit?

Yes. Reports are written in-house by AQF Level 5 arborists to AS 4970-2009 (tree risk / protection of trees on development sites) and AS 4373-2007 (pruning of amenity trees). No third-party consultant, no extra wait. Where a site sits in a bushfire overlay, we can prepare the arborist report together with a Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO) assessment.

Do you invoice on account or accept purchase orders?

Yes. Commercial and council clients are invoiced on account with payment by bank transfer after the work is completed. Purchase orders and work-order references are supported end-to-end.

Do you work with strata committees and body corporates?

Yes. Quotes and reports are written so a committee can approve them at an AGM or by circular resolution, not just a single owner. We handle common-property tree disputes and boundary tree issues, and can attend site with the strata manager or building manager.

What about canopy tree compliance on new developments?

Clause 52.37 (Amendment VC289, effective 15 September 2025) requires a minimum number of canopy trees on new subdivisions and multi-dwelling sites and restricts removal of boundary canopy trees without a permit. We help developers and councils meet the planting and retention requirements. Requirements vary council to council — call for site-specific advice.

Are you on council supplier panels?

We work directly with councils on a quote basis and are actively pursuing panel accreditation. Reach out and we can supply the documentation your council’s procurement team needs.
